| Musical Wunderkind Julius Rodriguez: Deluxe Edition of Let Sound Tell All ft. 3 New Tracks Following the wave of praise from outlets that include NPR ("rising jazz phenom'), Fader ("A cosmic jazz saga") and Grammy.com ("…a lively, inspired talent within the genre's conventions while also infusing his own personal musical identity…") for his major label debut, Let Sound Tell All, Julius Rodriguez announces Let Sound Tell All (Deluxe Edition). Set for release November 4th on Verve Records the newly sequenced 12-track deluxe album includes three new tracks, "Dora's Lullaby, " "Chemical X" and "Starmaker." The two-track single "Dora's Lullaby/Chemical X" is out now, listen here. Often paired together in a live setting the two-track single "Dora's Lullaby/Chemical X" does not follow the usual jazz tune convention. The sonically complementary tracks offer a glimpse into the essence of the ever-evolving musician, one who embraces his jazz roots yet infuses a blend of genres and influences into new signature textured sound. In addition to the just released two-track single, Let Sound Tell All (Deluxe Edition) also features the debut of the dreamlike drum and synth imbued track "Starmaker" – which has become a crowd favorite with its progressively increasing sonic intensity that reaches a raucous mosh-pit inducing crescendo. The new tracks bookend the album and gives the collection a new sonic vibe that succinctly showcases Rodriguez's stunning command of the jazz genre as he effortlessly stirs in hints of gospel, jazz, classical, R&B, and hip-hop. When you hear 24-year-old Julius Rodriguez play "the music, " as he calls it, it's a modern sound, a complex combination of live improvisation woven with high-level production. His music imagines a future of new standards and musical trailblazing. And that's what Julius Rodriguez's Sound tells to whoever will choose to listen. write your comments about the article :: © 2022 Jazz News :: home page |
