| Berklee Presents Free Summer Concerts at The Greenway Sessions The Greenway Sessions, a part of Berklee Summer in the City, presented by Natixis Global Asset Management, continues with concerts through August 30, weather permitting. The concerts will be held at North End Park, 46 Cross Street, Boston, MA. There will be food trucks on-site at the concerts, including The Taco Truck for the month of July. July 26, 12:00 p.m. - Lauren Desberg Desberg attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship and graduated this past summer. While at Berklee, she won the ASCAP Foundation's Leiber and Stoller Music Award, sang with the Beantown Swing Orchestra, and participated in numerous Berklee events and ensembles. Desberg recently released her first EP, Sideways, produced by Gretchen Parlato. August 2, 6:00 p.m. – The Dwells The Dwells- Paige Califano and Matthew Bean- feature swirling vocals, memorable lyrics and infectious songwriting, pulling inspiration from drama and expression in all mediums. Their new album Don't Ever Leave Me Like You Do, released in May, is a collaboration with legendary folk musician and photographer Henry Diltz. August 9, 6:00 p.m. – Amethyst Amethyst effortlessly combines pop, jazz, and Latin influences to create a magnetic sound. The six-piece group delivers originals and collaborative new arrangements of covers from artists such as Kimbra and Taylor Eigsti. They recently released their EP, Something About Evergreens, this February, and they are performing their material in Boston and New York this spring. August 16, 6:00 p.m. – B'Major Byron Manchest, a songwriting major at Berklee, has performed alongside Grammy-winner Paula Cole, and was also selected as one of seven artists to be represented by Berklee's artist management group. His sound blends classical and traditional South African music. August 23, 6:00 p.m. – Siv Jakobson Siv Jakobsen is a singer-songwriter from Oslo, Norway, currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. Her music is often described as both dark and ethereal, drawing inspiration from her background in traditional Norwegian music and folk artists like Laura Marling, Ane Brun, Joni Mitchell, and Melissa Horn. August 30, 6:00 p.m. – Melanie Lynx Lynx's performance skills have earned her a spot in Hollywood Week on Fox's American Idol and performances at both the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Hall in New York. After performing more than 400 shows as the lead singer in one of New England's premier wedding bands, Lynx decided to focus on her own solo career. Since then, she has been featured on blogs like Perez Hilton, Love Twenty, and Her Campus. The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a ribbon of contemporary urban parks that connects people and the city by providing beauty, fun, and a sense of community in Boston.
