Nicole Henry’s Catapult Return to Billboard Charts After Singing

International jazz vocalist Nicole Henry opened the FedEx Orange Bowl with an inspiring a capella version of the National Anthem that catapulted her 2008 release, The Very Thought of You, back onto the Billboard Jazz Chart at #86.
On Tuesday, January 5th, donned in a full-length, strapless, cranberry-colored Nicole Miller dress, international jazz vocalist Nicole Henry opened the FedEx Orange Bowl with an inspiring a capella version of the National Anthem that was broadcast live on the FOX network to over 20 million homes. As a result of that performance, Henry's weekly CD sales, as reported by Nielsen Soundscan, jumped to such a degree that Henry's 2008 release "The Very Thought of You" returned to the Billboard Jazz Chart at #86, which is impressive for a CD originally released in August 2008.

"The Very Thought of You" first hit the Billboard Jazz Chart in September 2008, reaching #7. And while Henry has received international media recognition and has sung the Anthem for many an audience, including the NBA's Miami Heat and the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this is the first time for her to receive this type of national television exposure, and it is obviously paying off.

Henry has released a total of three international TOP 10-selling CDs in the last five years. She has toured thirteen countries and her pure and soulful voice continues to inspire and touch hearts worldwide. Jazz Hot France describes her as having "grace, presence, a superb voice… a style unseen these days."
Her live concerts are captivating, combining elegance and conversational, intelligent wit that not only leaves you entertained, but connected to something of truly greater beauty. Billboard wrote that "Henry is a jazz vocalist on the cusp of bigger things, " and indeed she continues to be.

Henry performs monthly in New York City at the Metropolitan Room in Chelsea, and as a Miami Beach resident, performs throughout south Florida regularly. In February, she begins working on a new CD of jazz and adult contemporary music.
