| Ziad Rahbani Live At The Dubai International Jazz Festival Lebanese prodigy, singer/songwriter and composer Ziad Rahbani to perform for a huge fan base of his unique classical, jazzy, & his very own authentic repertoire! An ensemble of professional musicians will join Rahbani on stage to present the best of all his compositions on the night of February 17th, 2010 at Dubai Media City Outdoor Amphitheatre Ziad, is a controversial figure musically and poetically, he has been gathering both fans and critics which typifies the importance of Ziad in the Lebanese, Arabic and international artistic field. He is an inimitable artist of all sense with an unlimited integration and composition skill of the oriental and western music that had with no doubt appealed to all nationalities and tastes worldwide. Multi-talented Ziad Rahbani, descendent of a musically prominent Lebanese family, is the son of the Lebanese famous composer Assi Rahbani and the legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz. He composed many songs for his mother Fairuz, as well as other singers, and he had released many of his own music albums like: Bi hal shakel, Abou Ali, Halleluja, Shareet Ghayr Houdoudi, Houdou Nesbi, Ana Mouch Kafer, Hakaya al Atfal, Bema Enno, Monodose and Maaloumat Akidi for Latifa, a well know Arabic Pop star. Many of his musicals satirize the culture and social debates of his home country Lebanon during and after the civil war; others addressed more philosophical questions. He played the lead role in all his sell-out plays in the 70s, which are till date the finest and most popular of what was produced within his district and the Arab world overall. He has also done some orchestrations for songs like "Madih el Zoll el Ali", "Ahmad el Zaatar" and "Moussakafoun noun". Rahbani has also mixed several albums such as Al raei el 3aam and Moussakafoun noun. Ziad has held concerts like the Oriental Jazz Concert in the BUC Irwin Hall, the Las Salinas Concert, the Forum de Beirut Concert, the Picadilly Concert, and "Mniha Concert" in Mont La Salle Ain Saadeh, the latter with his cousin Ghassan Rahbani amongst a long list of other successful performances. "Ziad's appearance will be by far an exceptional success, and is expected to attract a large audience from all around the region", declared Anthony Younes, founder and organizer of the festival. Till present Ziad Rahbani's sell-out shows are the most awaited acts in the Arab world, where he is highly perceived as THE mastermind of music.
