| Acrosser's New Dual Core ATOM Based Networking Platform Acrosser has launched AR-N6000 and AR-R6000 networking platforms based on Intel ATOM single core and dual core D410/D510 processor. They feature a 1U rack mount or desktop chassis maximum 2GB memory, 4 x GbE LAN ports, LAN bypass, PCI expansion slot, 4 x USB ports, 2 x SATA port and console port. AR-N6000 is a desktop communication appliance (242x148x34mm), which can easily fit in the small office or home office use. AR-R6000 is a rack mount platform (440x340x44mm), which can be installed in the 19" rack. Both of the platforms offer the best price/performance ratio in applications like the UTM, IDS/IPS, VPN, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, RSA gateway, QoS, streaming. They are also good platforms for DICOM and PACS in medical application or Industrial Automation. The AR-N6000 and AR-R6000 carry Intel ATOM single-core D410 or dual-core D510 processors which support Hyper Threading Technology and Intel 64 architecture. They can deliver more efficient use of processor resources, higher processing throughput and improved performance on applications. System Integrators can select different configurations for their network appliances. Both of these platforms are equipped with Intel PCI express Gigabit Ethernet controller. Its advanced features include 802.1p (QoS), 802.1q (VLAN), IPv4 and IPv6 checksum offload, auto MDI-X, up to 256 KB TCP segmentation, ACPI power saving control and 9 KB Jumbo Frame support. Customers can benefit much higher communication performance from AR-N6000 and AR-N6000. In addition, the mini-PCI and PCI expansion slots enable system integrator to add extra features such as Wi-Fi or security accelerator to these platforms. The software and hardware configurable LAN bypass feature also avoids the communication breaking due to power loss or system hang up. AR-N6000 and AR-R6000 are available now. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Networking News :: home page |
