| Vizioncore Continues EMEA Expansion Vizioncore announces Roger Baskerville as Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Baskerville joins from Citrix Systems where he was Regional Director, Server Virtualization and will report directly to Chris Akerberg, President and Chief Operating Officer. In tandem, Vizioncore has also established a new internal sales team, based at its EMEA headquarters in Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK, that will support recent strong momentum gained by its channel partner network in the region. The team has been bolstered with staff with specific skills and expertise to support the German, French, Spanish and Italian markets. Baskerville commented, "Having worked in this market from an early stage, I am particularly excited to be joining an established leader at a time when management is taking centre stage in the virtualization market and when the pace of innovation is so rapid within the eco-system. Vizioncore is extremely well respected, both within its customer base and the EMEA channel, and I look forward to working with our partners to deliver the new and exciting solutions Vizioncore announced at VMworld 2008 in September." As a long standing member of both the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) and Community Source programs, Vizioncore works closely with VMware in EMEA. Lewis Gee, Vice President, EMEA Field Operations, VMware, commented, "VMware maintains a strong relationship with Vizioncore. Our close collaboration is helping our customers maximize the ROI from their investments in virtualization. We also share many skilled and knowledgeable channel partners in EMEA. These partners will play a key role in helping VMware deliver on our vision of the Virtual Datacenter Operating System - a platform that will make the self-healing, self-managing datacenter a reality." In addition to the expansion mentioned above, Vizioncore has also recently appointed additional sales managers and systems engineers in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and the UK. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Networking News :: home page |
