| Hifn Features Demonstrations at the Storage Networking World Hifn will feature two demonstrations, highlighting the company's hardware-advantaged capacity optimization and data encryption solutions. The demonstrations will take place at the Storage Networking World event taking place October 13-16 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Dallas. Hifn will be demonstrating its new hardware-accelerated data de-duplication product. As the first vendor to deliver a hardware-accelerated data de-duplication product, Hifn has eliminated performance barriers to enhance existing data de-duplication solutions for backup and secondary storage, as well as enable de-duplication for primary storage. Hifn's demonstration will explore the advantages of Hifn's block-level de-duplication technology and its potential market applications to support in-line, real-time data de-duplication. In addition, as a Microsoft Gold certified partner, Hifn will be demonstrating the first secure Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2007 solution in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion at SNW. The secure DPM demonstration will showcase Hifn's Express DS data security acceleration cards integrated with Microsoft's System Center DPM 2007 to secure specific volumes of data. The secure DPM solution enables IT administrators to quickly and easily add high-performance data security to their DPM storage. Hifn's Express DS products integrate seamlessly into the Microsoft environment protecting all DPM 2007 data with hardware-accelerated 256-bt encryption at more than 400,000 packets per second, whether the data is at rest on an SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft Virtual Server, as well as Windows file services, or in transit over the network to a disk or tape backup device. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Networking News :: home page |
