eLandia International Adds Lewis Temares to its Board of Directors

eLandia International announces the addition of Dr. M. Lewis Temares to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Dr. Temares is the Vice President for Information Technology, Chief Information Officer and Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering for the University of Miami and is a well-known expert in voice and data communications, strategic planning and professional training in the information systems arena.

Dr. Temares joined the University of Miami in 1980, and has served the University in a number of leadership roles including Assistant Vice President, Associate Vice President for Computing, and Dean of the College of Engineering. In his long-standing role as Vice President and CIO, he is responsible for central computing, applications development and telecommunications for the University; and as Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering he provides thought leadership in the area of advanced administrative systems. Dr. Temares also oversees campus and external constituents including the Executive Information and Technology Institute, an organization that provides consulting and instruction in the areas of executive leadership, business processes and professional technology education both nationally and abroad. Dr. Temares also serves on the Dell Platinum Advisory Council and the Microsoft Higher Education Advisory Council, has been named by Computerworld Magazine as one of the world's premier 100 IT Leaders and is a senior member of the IEEE. Prior to his appointment at the University of Miami, he developed IT and computing expertise while working for IBM and for the City University of New York.
