Exaprotect Unveils LogManager 3.0

Exaprotect has announced the availability of an easy-to-use appliance that logs and stores the massive amounts of data generated by large enterprise-class infrastructures. LogManager 3.0 provides a quick and cost-effective solution for organizations trying to achieve regulatory compliance today while enabling a simple upgrade to full-featured event management functionality tomorrow.

Most organizations struggle to capture and manage their IT infrastructure and systems logs, a critical necessity for compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. The number of different devices and applications in the enterprise is increasing, and each generates large volumes of log data. These logs are inconsistent throughout the organization, making it difficult for security teams to separate the important data from the noise and distill it down to the most relevant security information. Organizations face the challenge of an ever-increasing supply of log data, a limited amount of resources and an immediate need for a solution that can be rapidly deployed.

Exaprotect LogManager provides enterprises with an all-inclusive appliance that quickly allows network and security administrators to collect, monitor, store and playback logs to meet regulatory compliance. With more than 200 compliance-driven report templates that clearly measure progress against industry regulations and corporate standards, LogManager enables comprehensive and comprehensible compliance. In addition, role-based access control, preservation of original log formats and a solid chain-of-custody ensure that network data is always secure and audit-ready.

Unlike the majority of vendors that offer separate log management and event management products, or just one or the other, resulting in tedious and costly custom upgrades, Exaprotect LogManager customers can instantly upgrade to the full-featured Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution — EventManager. Exaprotect EventManager allows organizations to see threats in real time with sophisticated monitoring, cross-device analysis, visualization and correlation. Upgrading to this real-time event correlation is as simple as entering a new license key on the existing LogManager appliance, saving valuable time and resources and ensuring immediate data accuracy.

LogManager and EventManager will be available in May 2008.
