Yitran Presents HomePlug Command and Control (HPCC) v1.0

'No new wires.' Power Line Communication does not require the installation of any new wires and provides networking over what is the only truly ubiquitous network in the world. HomePlug Command and Control (HPCC) v1.0 was developed to provide highly reliable communication and networking solutions via existing electrical power lines and grids.

Amit Grauer, VP Product Management Yitran Communications Ltd., presented HPCC v1.0 at the HomePlug European Executive Seminar, held in co-location with the Net-atHome 2007 event. HPCC v1.0 is an open standard that provides highly reliable command and control technology via existing power lines. HPCC v1.0 provides convenience in its remote monitoring and remote accessibility. Applications for HPCC v1.0 include green applications such as peak demand management, demand response, access control and energy management as well as remote meter reading, home safety and security, health care and smart home applications.

During the Net-atHome Conference, Yitran CEO, Mr. Avner Matmor spoke about Green Tech and Energy Management, which are the driving forces behind home automation applications. Power saving techniques provided by HPCC v1.0, such as networking thermostats in homes and remotely managing high power appliances, will assure a more energy efficient, environmentally friendly future.

The HPCC v1.0 open standard was developed based on Yitran's IT800 power line transceiver technology. The work group for HPCC v1.0 includes Ariane Controls, Corporate Systems Engineering, GE, Huawei, LG Electronics, RadioShack and Simply Automated.

The HomePlug Powerline Alliance is an industry association comprised of business leaders from Technology to Services and Content providers. The Alliance's mission is to enable and promote rapid availability, adoption and implementation of cost effective, interoperable and standards-based home powerline networks and products.

Yitran will present again at Connections Europe, December 4-6, 2007 in Berlin.
