Exanet enters into a number of new partner alliances

Exanet has significantly grown its operations in the UK with a number of new partner alliances including agreements with IBM, Digital Networks Europe, ERA, Incentra Solutions, Esteem, Application Performance and Posetiv and key appointments to the UK sales team, which is headed up by Paul Liggett, Exanet's Regional Vice President for UKISA.

Exanet has made serious inroads into the UK market over the last 12 months, securing major contracts with organisations such as the BBC, the University of Aberdeen, the Pinewood Studio Group, Interoute, Totality GCS and Ascent Media. The appointment of industry veterans Nick Holland and Andrew Cracknell, combined with key partner agreements and the opening of new London offices, means Exanet is well positioned to serve its expanding UK client base and maximise further UK growth opportunities.

Nick Holland joins Exanet as UK Sales Director having previously worked as UK Channel Manager for Overland Storage Europe. Before joining Overland, Holland was Regional Sales Manager for CSF Group where he headed up the Finance and Banking division. In his new role at Exanet, Holland will be responsible for extending the reach of Exanet's clustered NAS solutions into strategic vertical markets through the development of the UK channel network.

Andrew Cracknell joins Exanet as Technical Director for the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Africa. Cracknell brings with him 25 years' experience handling complex data acquisition and storage delivery for companies including EMC, DEC and SGI. In his new position at Exanet, Cracknell will be responsible for delivering Exanet clustered NAS solutions into the most demanding storage environments, supporting Exanet's push into new target markets.
