South River Technologies Launches Titan FTP Server 6.0

South River Technologies has announced the availability of its Titan FTP Server 6.0, an enterprise class storage server that allows secure file management and document transfer. Titan FTP Server 6.0 comes with added security functionality, such as native File Encryption that encrypts data in realtime as it is being written to the server disk. In addition, Titan offers Secure Sockets Layer certificate and Secure Shell Host Key authentication which enables secure client authentication and secure file transfer.

In addition to several security upgrades, Titan continues to be one of the most scaleable file management solutions on the market with an unlimited number of servers in a clustered environment which enables Titan to support virtually an unlimited number of user accounts. This enables users to easily scale the size of their implementations as their needs grow, continuing to provide the required storage and throughput needs to efficiently support the organization. Titan can also interface to existing networks with tens-of-thousands of user accounts.

Titan also supports a wide array of existing user authentication, including Active Directory, industry standard Lightweight Directory Access Protocol servers and custom user databases which allows Titan to query special users/groups to check for passwords and group membership. In addition, Titan's enhanced Event Management features allow it to be a suitable front-end for existing workflow and file management.
