| Star Telephone Deploys Verimatrix to Secure IPTV Network Verimatrix announces that Star Telephone Membership Cooperative has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) on its IPTV network. Chosen in the later stages of the network build out, Verimatrix worked with Star Telephone to get VCAS up and running in one day. VCAS for IPTV is as a software-based content security solution built on the principles of Public Key Infrastructure and X.509 digital certificates. For the Star Telephone deployment, VCAS is deployed in an environment that includes set-top-boxes from Tilgen and headend equipment from TUT Systems.
