| Quest Software Releases New and Enhanced Products Quest Software has announced the release of a new product, Change Director for SQL Server, as well as the addition of new features to both Performance Analysis for SQL Server 6.0 and Toad for SQL Server 3.0. Both moves demonstrate the company's ongoing support for Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2005. These product releases further enhance the breadth and depth of Quest's portfolio of solutions that help database administrators and developers maintain and manage their SQL Server environments with greater ease and efficiency. Quest's newest offering, Change Director for SQL Server, allows DBAs to more easily script and migrate database schema changes while tracking the impact of those changes on the database. In addition, DBA's will gain greater control of their databases by proactively monitoring the structure of the database and rolling back changes as needed, thereby reducing the risk of unexpected outages caused by unplanned or improper changes. Quest Performance Analysis for SQL Server provides DBAs with critical information about the performance of the database and offers a variety of tools that assist in determining the cause of, and solution for, performance issues. Performance Analysis for SQL Server uses an improved version of Quest's StealthCollect technology, a 24X7 non-intrusive, lightweight memory-sampling technology that now proactively analyzes performance data for inefficiencies and anomalies. New to this version is IntelliProfile, an adaptive profiling tool that continually and transparently monitors database performance to learn the baseline behavior of a system. Once IntelliProfile baselines are established, it is easy to separate real problems from normal behavior, which means DBAs only spend time on issues that really matter. Quest Toad for SQL Server is a database development and administration tool that increases user productivity and ensures optimal code quality for the SQL Server environment. With Toad, SQL Server developers can reduce the bugs in their applications, build the highest quality code faster, and maximize application performance – all while integrating with current version control software for collaboration. The result is reduced time to market. New administration features in this version of Toad for SQL Server include SQL Server job management, logging of all executed SQL, and server-side filtering, all of which help reduce the complexity of SQL Server database management. Other new productivity features include editing of duplicate table data, one-click export to Microsoft Excel with linked queries, and the ability to add notes to database objects, all of which shorten the time spent doing redundant tasks. In addition to these new and enhanced products, Quest offers the Quest Management Suite for SQL Server which includes: Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise, LiteSpeed for SQL Server, Capacity Manager for SQL Server and SQL Watch .
