| Stratus ftServer Hardware Platform Delivers Continuous Availability to the Perfect Plant Stratus Technologies has announced the successful certification of the Stratus ftServer fault-tolerant server for use with the SAP NetWeaver platform. Certification testing was performed by AddOn Software GmbH in Walldorf, Germany on the Stratus ftServer 5700 system with attached Stratus ftScalable Storage. In addition, the company also says that it has become an SAP Global Technology Partner. With field-proven performance of over 99.999 percent uptime availability, the Stratus ftServer system has already been selected for a number of manufacturing-based deployments of the SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) composite application, one of which involved 17 plants. Stratus' continuously available server was highlighted as part of SAP's vision of the "perfect plant" at SAPPHIRE '07 Atlanta, SAP's international customer conference held in April. The initiative for the perfect plant brings together a partner ecosystem that delivers the functionality, integration, data synchronisation and certified platforms that enable users to optimise their manufacturing performance. Stratus ftServer systems are powering the Perfect Plant Center of Excellence established by Tata Consultancy Services at SAP's U.S. headquarters in Pennsylvania to demonstrate these benefits. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Networking News :: home page |
