Engineers' Tea Party Works Wonders for Charity

Qube Networks has marked its first Engineers' Tea Party with a fundraising photo session for charity. Qube Network founders Thomas Howard and Polly Arrowsmith dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter's Tea Party to launch the first of the company's Engineers' Tea Parties. The tea parties are a chance for IT Managers to discuss co-location and managed services issues in a relaxed and informal environment with their peers.

"Turning up as characters from Alice in Wonderland started off as a joke but then someone offered to pledge money to charity if we did", said Thomas Howard. "It broke the ice and we donated ?200 to the Woodland Trust."

The more usual environment for the Tea Parties is a London pub and the next session will be held on Friday July 27th to celebrate System Administrator Appreciation Day.
