| DCMI Launches Data Centre Migration Workshops DCMI has announced the launch of a series of workshops designed to offer advice to enterprises considering a data centre migration, consolidation or virtualisation project. Undertaking a data centre migration project can produce enormous benefits to an enterprise, yet the process can be considered to be risky and expensive. DCMI's workshops are designed to help enterprises remove the risk and save money on the migration. Recently DCMI launched Migrata, the first software solution to assist with data centre migration. DCMI's software solution can save enterprises 60% of the time and 40% of the effort involved in data centre migration. It is from this heritage that DCMI offers its workshops. DCMI has also recently announced that it is delievering its Migrata solution to a large, UK-based telco. The project that DCMI will be working on is a seven month virtualisation and consolidation programme that will involve consolidating over 1700 servers, reducing data centre demand by 900 racks. By using Migrata the large telco will be able to dramatically reduce the workload, risk and cost of this project.
