telent Tops ?250,000 Target for NSPCC Donation

telent announces that it has smashed its target of raising ?250,000 for the NSPCC. To achieve the target, staff at telent have organised fundraising activities from auctions to golf days, and have made contributions directly from their salaries to support the NSPCC’s FULL STOP Campaign. Today, Mark Plato, CEO of telent and champion of the cause, handed over a cheque for ?257,025.54 to Sophie Hutchison of the NSPCC. Fundraising activity by telent has included sponsored bike rides, in which over 80 staff and their families participated, raising almost ?10,000. Two golf days raised over ?77,000, while staff contributed over ?7,000 directly from their salaries. Individual efforts included Dave Crawford, process manager, running the New York Marathon in 2006 and raising over ?500, and Nigel Ellis, senior bid manager, embarking on a busking tour of Europe: travelling on his motorbike, he covered 10 countries in five days, clocking up over 2, 300 miles and raising over ?2,000.
