| NTP Software Announces NTP Software Encryption Sentinel NTP Software announces the release of a new product, NTP Software Encryption Sentinel. It seems that there is a news story a month about the loss of sensitive data because an employee with appropriate access copied the data to their laptop and the laptop was lost or stolen. NTP Software Encryption Sentinel protects an organization's sensitive data by ensuring it cannot be accessed by an unencrypted client system. NTP Software Encryption Sentinel allows an organization to designate sensitive data on their storage hosts and it then ensures that this data, after the existing network security rules have been applied, can only be copied to or read by an encrypted client, regardless of whether the data is encrypted on its storage host. Unbreakable client-side encryption is supplied by Microsoft as part of Windows and by others at little or no charge. By requiring client-side encryption, NTP Software Encryption Sentinel ensures that the loss or compromise of a machine will never result in the loss of a company's sensitive information. NTP Software Encryption Sentinel will be available for NetApp Filers in Q1 2007, with other storage platforms to follow. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Networking News :: home page |
