Kano Introduces the NetCOR Network Attached RAID Storage Family

Kano Technologies has introduced NetCOR, a Network Attached RAID Storage appliance for the small and midsize business market. NetCOR allows small businesses to easily deploy up to 3 terabytes of shared, high performance Serial ATA RAID disk storage to their Ethernet LAN in minutes. The NetCOR is based on an Intel X-Scale processor platform.

The NetCOR is Windows and Macintosh compatible and includes four hot-swappable, high speed SATA II hard drives. NetCOR incorporates the latest Intel hardware RAID acceleration technology which allows the hard drives to be configured into 4 modes: Linear mode, Mirroring mode, Striping Mode and Raid 5 Mode. The NetCOR supports a hot-spare in protected RAID-5 mode as well as email notification of hardware failure and disk-write errors.

The NetCOR management interface is user friendly and allows for business-level customization and integration. Within the NetCOR management interface, users have a simple yet powerful backup and recovery tool which allows PC client hard drives to be mirrored to the NetCOR system. In case of a disk failure in the PC client, simply use the NetCOR client recovery tool and restore the client hard disk to its original state. The NetCOR is offered in a compact tower form factor. The product is available in capacities of 1.0TB (NC4X250T), 1.6TB (NC4X400T), 2.0TB (NC4X500T) and 3.0TB (NC4X750T).
