| IDT's T?Yo Mobile Launches in Los Angeles IDT Telecom has announced the launch of T?Yo Mobile in Los Angeles. T?Yo Mobile phones and recharge cards are now available at hundreds of retail outlets throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Distributors include Vallarta Supermarkets, Downtown PCS and ACE Cash Express, as well as other independent wireless dealers. T?Yo Mobile is IDT Telecom's prepaid wireless service designed for the needs and lifestyles of U.S. Hispanics. The T?Yo Mobile launch will be supported by a marketing campaign that will include several Spanish-language print, radio and TV media outlets in Los Angeles. According to a 2004 US Census Bureau survey, Los Angeles had the largest Hispanic population in the US. Over 4.6 million Hispanics lived in Los Angeles County. In September, T?Yo Mobile was a sponsor of Fiestas Patrias, an annual 3-day event held in Los Angeles that celebrates Mexico's independence. The event attracted over 100.000 people. Additionally, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, T?Yo Mobile has reduced international rates to Latin America. Through October 31, 2006, international rates from the U.S to Mexico are free. International rates to Peru and Brazil are just 1 cent per minute, and Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Honduras are 1.5 cents per minute. Domestic airtime charges from 10 cents a minute apply to all calls. Calls must be made from a T?Yo Mobile phone. A connection fee of 10 cents a call also applies to the Plan10 rate plan. Similar low rates are available to other Latin American destinations. Plus, customers can receive free news alerts from their country of choice directly to their T?Yo Mobile phone during Hispanic Heritage month. T?Yo Mobile provides many features and services that are important to Hispanic consumers, including direct international dialing, low rates to Latin America, state-of-the-art handsets, a fully bilingual customer experience, and country specific alerts featuring breaking regional news, Hispanic celebrity gossip, sports, politics and horoscopes.
