Proxicom's Next-Gen Platform for Health Alert Network Solution

Proxicom has released the next generation of its Health Alert Network (HAN) and will feature the new solution at the 2006 Public Health Information Network (PHIN) conference in Atlanta later this month. Proxicom has also announced that it has signed a contract with the state of Kansas for installation of the new HAN platform.

Compatible with the Public Health Information Network, the solution provides a comprehensive response management platform to government agencies and private organizations, and meets the Centers for Disease Control's Partner Communications and Alerting (PCA) standards. Proxicom's Health Alert Network is currently in use by five states and the City of New York, and serves as the hub of their public health emergency communications systems.

Plug-in modules available with the new platform include ESAR-VHP (Emergency System for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Interwise and Microsoft Live Conference Server, Distance Learning, PHIN Directory, Cascading Alerts and Identity Management.

The states of Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Carolina and Utah are using Proxicom's HAN solution, as well as the City of New York, which was the first installation of HAN in January 2002. Mississippi was the most recent HAN implementation for Proxicom, going live in time for hurricane season 2006.
