New Options to Tenor AF Series VoIP Switches and Gateways Added

Quintum Technologies announce that they have added to their intelligent Tenor VoIP access/switching solutions an expanded Tenor AF product line offering 2, 4, 6 and 8 analog line and trunk interfaces to support up to 8 simultaneous VoIP calls.

The new Tenor AF is now more scalable and versatile, to support a variety of configurations, including Quintum's unique MultiPath configuration, which offers 2 or 4 FXO and FXS ports. Other configurations include gateway (station) configurations of 2, 4 or 8 FXS ports, trunking configurations of 2, 4, or 8 FXO ports and an enterprise configuration of 4 or 6 FXS ports and 2 FXO ports.

The Tenor AF Series is also being offered in the new Survivable version, Tenor S (Survivable MultiPath Switch), that contains Quintum's latest advances providing local survivability for SIP-based IP telephony networks. The new Survivable Tenor S has been specifically designed to offer a complete solution for IP-PBX branch offices, Hosted IP-PBX services CPE and IP Centrex CPE. It is the only device (outside of the user VoIP endpoints) needed in the branch office to support all legacy equipment, PSTN connectivity and survivability of all IP endpoints. Tenor S provides survivability for local SIP endpoints and intelligent call routing to keep any SIP-based VoIP network up and running if connectivity with the main voice server is lost.

The Tenor AF is built on Quintum's unique MultiPath architecture, that allows it to be transparently dropped into any traditional or IP-PBX based voice network with minimum network modification. The Tenor AF supports Quintum's unique SelectNet feature that allows it to deliver optimum voice quality, reliability and efficiency over IP networks by switching the call mid-call to the PSTN in the event that voice quality will be jeopardized. Like the rest of the Tenor line, the Tenor AF comes with a variety of rich configuration and management tools and is compatible with Quintum's award-winning Remote Management Session Server that allows the Tenor AF to be easily configured and managed behind the enterprise NAT firewall at anytime from anywhere.
