| 'Access One Direct' Network in Chicago LATA 358 Is Launched Access One has announced the deployment of Access One Direct, their inaugural softswitch in Chicago LATA 358. The state of the art network utilizes best in class technology to provide complete end-to-end solutions to business customers. The portfolio includes a host of dedicated local T1 products, data and Internet circuits, as well as long distance voice and toll free services. The network will enable the company to cut back its dependency on LECs and IXCs, while creating a footprint that overlaps all of AT&T's rate-centers within the LATA. The move will decrease costs and allow the company to grow revenue. With this expansion, Access One is repositioning itself within the telecommunications industry. The company is in the process of developing strategic alliances with current sales and vendor partners, as well as campaigning for new synergistic relationships. Chicago LATA 358 is the first phase in a multi-market expansion.
