| EnterpriseDB Launches EnterpriseDB Network EnterpriseDB has announced the immediate availability of EnterpriseDB Network, a new service that includes real-time notification and delivery of product updates and patches, access to EnterpriseDB online forums, and enhanced product documentation. In addition, subscribers to EnterpriseDB Network receive access to a variety of advanced product features. The automated update delivery service saves customers time and effort, eliminates potential problems before they occur, and provides customers with the confidence that their EnterpriseDB product suite contains the only the most up-to-date components available. EnterpriseDB Network subscribers also gain access to the EnterpriseDB Forums, where developers and DBAs interact and collaborate with the EnterpriseDB community, including EnterpriseDB engineers. EnterpriseDB Network subscribers receive exclusive access to the following components of EnterpriseDB Advanced Server: * Replication Server, which replicates data across the enterprise in near real time to meet a wide array of business challenges. Data can be replicated to or from any supported database, including EnterpriseDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL, and across heterogeneous databases, distant geographies, complex enterprise data infrastructures, and heterogeneous operating platforms, including Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OS X. * Database Migration Toolset, which provides simple, point-and-click migration from Oracle to EnterpriseDB of everything stored in the database, including triggers, packages, stored procedures, schema, tables, and data. * DBA Management Server, which provides powerful database monitoring, profiling, reporting, and querying capabilities to enable DBAs and developers to analyze, manage, and tune multiple EnterpriseDB and PostgreSQL databases from a single Web interface. * Procedural Language Debugger, which facilitates the development and analysis of stored procedures, functions, and triggers in applications written for Oracle, EnterpriseDB, and PostgreSQL databases. The Procedural Language Debugger uniquely allows users to step through stored procedures and functions at any time, even if the stored procedure is called from a live application, outside the debugging environment. * SQL Query Profiler, which enables DBAs to analyze and tune database queries for speed and efficiency. * Enhanced PDF Documentation, in an easy-to-use, searchable format. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Networking News :: home page |
