PacketVideo Universal pvPlayer Powers F902iS

PacketVideo has announced that a new handset from Fujitsu Limited incorporates PacketVideo’s new Universal pvPlayer multimedia technology for the enjoyment of high-quality mobile music. Fujitsu Limited has begun shipping the F902iS, the first NTT DoCoMo’s 3G FOMA handset that supports Microsoft Windows Media Audio protected by Microsoft DRM technology. Using the Universal pvPlayer that supports multiple file formats, the F902iS will run three important media formats (3GPP, i-motion and Windows Media), and two digital rights management systems (WMDRM10 and SD binding DRM).

The F902iS uses PacketVideo’s revolutionary new Universal pvPlayer that enables multiple file formats to be played by a single multimedia client solution. With PacketVideo’s Universal Player, the F902iS can play 3GPP, i-motion and Microsoft Windows Media content. The phone supports Microsoft MTP for phone-to-PC music file transferring with Fujitsu’s cooperation, and also supports the i-motion player. The F902iS is the 14th FOMA handset from Fujitsu that incorporates PacketVideo multimedia technology, and is now available in Japan.
