| Radware Introduces Its Application Switch 5 Platform Radware has announced its new Application Switch 5 platform. AS5 is designed to optimize the performance and reliability of business-critical and revenue-generating applications for transaction completion, business continuity and enhanced user productivity for large enterprises and carriers. The AS5 application switch enables data center consolidation by addressing the growing demand for more powerful platforms that support integrated functionality, more segments and higher bandwidth networks. Based on Radware's advanced three-tiered application delivery architecture, the AS5 platform reduces infrastructure costs and TCO with the fastest L2/L3 ASIC packet switching technologies for 10Gbps connectivity, low latency switching and wide port density. Four parallel dedicated state-of-the- art network processors handle L4-7 flow classification, packet manipulation and security pattern matching. RISC processors are used for complex L7 application-smart configuration, management, monitoring, reporting and add-on services. Keeping in line with the increasing adoption of broadband and increased transaction volume, Radware's AS5 platform provides the power needed to support the demanding application requirements of new web services and XML applications, rich media content services and interactive services such as VoIP, video conferencing, information sharing and collaboration.
