| ViSTA Networking Solutions' New Network Video Recorder ViSTA Networking Solutions announces the extension of its GT17 Network Video Recorder (NVR) product line with the availability of high density Direct Attached Storage based products. These NVRs are offered in 3U, 5U and 8U rack mount footprints and are scalable to 9 TB, 12 TB and 20 TB of raw storage respectively with today's common SATA II disk drive densities. The GT17 series NVR is intended for the video processing demands of large scale camera deployments or the challenges presented by mega-pixel cameras. Capable of simultaneously viewing and recording up to 2000 single CIF images per second, a 12 TB GT17 can record approximately 129 hours of continuous low compression MJPEG video. Some of the targeted video surveillance applications for the GT17 platform include hospitals, airports, resorts, shopping malls, corrections facilities, ports, casinos and municipalities. Each GT17, like all NVRs from VNS, is custom designed to the application's specific requirements.
