| Multi-Tech Announces Cellular PCI Products for Systems Developers Developers needing cellular wireless data communications for PC-based systems can add it with minimum effort by using a PCI card. The need can be for a single line application in remote equipment for monitoring and diagnostics or for multiple line needs such as with SMS (Short Message Service) broadcasting. Multi-Tech Systems announces two PCI-based cellular wireless modem products to meet such development requirements. The new MultiModem internal wireless modems will be available in one and four modem models using the universal PCI bus technology implementing EDGE, GPRS and CDMA cellular wireless standards. The new MultiModem cellular wireless modems are RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Material) compliant products are based on the Universal PCI design with either 3.3- or 5-Volt operation, are tested for FCC, PTCRB, and CE compliance, and include drivers for Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Linux operating systems.
