| Mitek Releases New FraudProtect Web ReVu Mitek Systems, Inc. has announced the release of FraudProtect Web ReVu. This new web-based application empowers bank tellers to quickly and easily verify authentic checks on any account, prior to finalizing transactions with a patron. Web ReVu is designed to be used in conjunction with the FraudProtect System - a complete check fraud solution for bank back office processing - or as a stand-alone solution. Web ReVu provides tremendous value to community and mid-size banks that are facing the on-going challenge of deposit fraud. It simplifies the check review process and is much more reliable and effective than traditional signature card systems. These systems are often manual and are truly a hassle for the review and maintenance of signature cards. More importantly, signature cards often carry outdated signatures so they are of little value when doing a forgery review. Web ReVu allows bank tellers to compare signatures on the checks being presented against checks that have been previously validated as authentic, and in cases where an account has seen a prior forgery those are also presented to the teller. This process happens in real-time, without the teller having to leave their "window".
