| Extreme Networks Introduces BlackDiamond 12K Extreme Networks, Inc. has announced its new carrier switch, the BlackDiamond 12K. Today, service providers are competing to deliver triple play services for residential subscribers and Ethernet private line and private LAN services for businesses. Because increased bandwidth alone is not enough to support business and residential services, carriers must move beyond 'best effort' Ethernet while still leveraging the cost effectiveness of Ethernet technology.
