| Sunrise Telecom's SHDSL Module for the SunSet MTT Family Sunrise Telecom Incorporated has introduced a new SHDSL Module for its SunSet MTT Family of handheld platforms for access network service installation, verification, and troubleshooting applications. The new device, the SSMTT-14B SHDSL Module, provides a testing tool set for installing and qualifying SHDSL circuits in one compact, easy-to-use unit with both 2-wire and 4-wire turn-up test capabilities and support for STU-C and STU-R operation modes. Sunrise Telecom's market leadership in testing and monitoring solutions for voice, video, data services and next-generation digital multimedia drives its ability to bring the highest-performing test systems to the communications market. The integrated SHDSL module provides detailed link turn-up and network connectivity testing that verifies service all the way to the ISP. Operating in STU-R or STU-C mode, modem status results such as rate, SNR margin and attenuation can be determined. End-to-end connectivity of the network to the ISP is verified using PING testing. The SSMTT-14B is also ideal for service technicians trying to pre-qualify and predict circuit performance prior to DSLAM installation. With more than 30 different test modules, the SunSet MTT platform gives service installers the solution for installing and troubleshooting voice and data wireline access applications. These include T1/E1, T3/E3, SONET/SDH, ISDN, IP, VoIP, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, A, Datacom, HSSI, xDSL, OTDR, SHDSL, FTTx and triple play networks. This tool kit provides multi-layer diagnostic solutions - allowing technicians to troubleshoot while easily moving between the physical, service, and network layers. The platform is inherently modular, offering unparalleled flexibility for customers as their technology, network architecture, and budgets change. This modularity provides a cost-effective solution so that customers can reduce their budget without sacrificing critical testing equipment. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Networking News :: home page |
