Websense Launches Websense Web Protection Services

Websense, Inc. has launched Websense Web Protection Services, featuring SiteWatcher, BrandWatcher, and the company's new ThreatWatcher service. The Websense ThreatWatcher security service prevents malicious attacks on their web servers before they happen by scanning for vulnerabilities and threats. Subscribers will receive regular analysis, reports on possible vulnerabilities and a summary of detected flaws on their web servers, such as a missing patch or an open port via their existing MyWebsense.com customer interface.

The ThreatWatcher service leverages Websense Security Labs' expertise in discovering and protecting Websense customers against internet threats as they surface. Websense customers are now offered enhanced web security and vulnerability detection with Websense Web Protection Services. Consisting of three comprehensive security services, Websense Web Protection Services give customers a powerful combination of web security protection and detection tools offering a view of their web servers, external facing websites and protection of the organization's online brand.

ThreatWatcher service helps customers prevent malicious attacks on their web servers and websites before they happen. Easily set up with just a few mouse clicks on the customer's MyWebsense.com web portal, the service allows customers to obtain regular vulnerability scans of their web server and informs them of known server vulnerabilities. Customers will receive automated reports directly to their customized web portal. Additionally, the service allows customers to monitor, report, and receive alerts on their web server status including notification of known vulnerabilities such as open ports and policy compliance issues.

SiteWatcher service alerts Websense customers when their websites have been infected with mobile malicious code (MMC). Hackers have advanced to the point of dropping MMC on websites that can infect visitor's PCs unknowingly when they simply visit a specific URL. SiteWatcher allows organizations to take immediate measures to prevent the spread of MMC to their customers, prospects, and partners.

BrandWatcher service alerts Websense customers when their websites or brands have been targeted in phishing or malicious keylogging attacks. These attacks can arrive in the form of email or fraudulent websites that imitate an organization's brand. BrandWatcher provides organizations with security intelligence, including attack details, and other security-related information.

To combat these advanced threats and to provide Websense customers with the best web security protection available, Websense Security Labs mines and analyzes over 75 million sites daily for malicious mobile code, bots, Trojan horses and new viruses. The findings are used to study their techniques, actions, and behaviors on an enterprise network system. Websense Security Labs is now helping customers become aware of vulnerabilities that can exist within their web servers.
