Antepo releases upgrade for its enterprise IM solution

Antepo, Inc. (http://www.antepo.com), a pioneer of secure, interoperable Enterprise Instant Messaging (EIM), today announced the immediate availability of Service Pack 1 (SP1) for OPN System XT. Built on the new Java 5 runtime, SP1 further extends the capabilities of OPN System XT, providing a scalable, security-enhanced enterprise IM platform including simplified federation management, enhanced identity and access control, and improved overall performance.

"OPN System's functionality continuously evolves, keeping the changing needs of our customers in mind, " said Maxime Seguineau, Chairman and CEO for Antepo. "Service Pack 1 is a direct reflection of recent customer feedback, as well as our own ongoing efforts to proactively enhance and expand the administration and overall user experience of OPN System XT."

Centralized AOL Buddy List Management

With SP1, administrators gain full, centralized control over AOL buddy list imports and directory synchronization, with the ability to import and assign AIM-based contacts lists to existing directory accounts.

Express User Provisioning

SP1 comes with an embedded user directory and web-based provisioning console to create, manage, and delete IM accounts. As a result, administrators of small business deployments will now have the option of running a completely standalone IM server with no external dependencies.

Enhanced Policy Engine

Through SP1, customers can utilize granular LDAP and Active Directory groups to enforce entitlement, read-only permissions, and access control for multi-user persistent forums, as well as configurable alerts and disclaimers for enforced policies.

Java 5 And Opteron Support

SP1 takes advantage of the significant monitoring, management and performance improvements introduced with the Java 5 runtime with broader hardware portability including new Opteron processors.

Google Talk Federation

SP1 allows native federation with the ever-expanding Google Talk Network. OPN System enterprises can now seamlessly interact with Gmail users while ensuring the highest level of compliance, control, and security.
