AT&T positioned in the leader quadrant

AT&T Inc., today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner in the Leader Quadrant in the "Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service Providers, 2005" (1) report. According to Gartner, to qualify for inclusion in the magic quadrant, leaders must have a full portfolio of voice and data products coupled with above-average service and support, wide global coverage and competitive pricing as well as a strong vision that is articulated clearly and openly.

Forrest Miller, group president, AT&T Communications Corp. said: "Following AT&T's merger with SBC, we believe that our positioning in the 'Leader' quadrant in the Global Network Services Provider report by Gartner is further confirmation that the new AT&T is well-placed to succeed in the global market with an extremely strong portfolio of products and a true ability to serve enterprise customers around the world."

AT&T has global IP-based network capabilities, assets and resources that are widely regarded as unsurpassed in the marketplace, creating the potential to unleash new IP innovations that neither company could have accomplished independently.

Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, AT&T Inc. is the largest telecommunications company in the United States and one of the largest in the world. The combined company is the largest U.S. provider of high-speed DSL Internet services and local and long-distance voice services, and the No. 1 provider of data services to the Fortune 1000. The new AT&T owns 60 percent of Cingular Wireless, which is the No. 1 U.S. wireless services provider.
