| Sierra Wireless mini card modules Sierra Wireless today announced that Lenovo has selected the Sierra Wireless EV-DO PCI Express Mini Card embedded module (MC5720) for its newest ThinkPad T60 and X60 business notebook computers. The ThinkPad T60 and the X60 notebook computers are the latest models from Lenovo to provide AirCard Enabled wide area wireless connectivity to mobile professionals. This follows the successful integration of the Sierra Wireless MC5720 EV-DO Mini Card module into Lenovo ThinkPad Z60 Series notebooks, launched last year. Sierra Wireless Mini Card embedded modules are designed for integration into notebook computers and other mobile computing devices, providing OEM customers with a reliable choice for built-in wide area wireless connectivity, supported by Sierra Wireless's more than 12 years experience in integrating embedded wide area wireless solutions. MC5720 PCI Express Mini Card for EV-DO networks ----------------------------------------------- The dual-band MC5720 PCI Express Mini Card, built using the MSM6500 Mobile Station Modem chipset from QUALCOMM, offers typical download data rates of 400-700 kbps, with peak speeds up to 2.4 Mbps. To provide coverage in areas where an EV-DO network connection is not available, the MC5720 module is also compatible with widely available 1X networks and will seamlessly switch without interrupting the user.
