| Lucent VPN Firewall Brick advanced security features Lucent Technologies announced that the Lucent VPN Firewall Brick Portfolio successfully provided advanced security features for the backbone network at the site of Japan's Expo 2005 Aichi, which was held in Aichi prefecture from March 25, 2005 through September 25, 2005. The Brick 1100 and 500 are designed to support large-scale enterprise network deployment, and helped manage the processing of large volumes of traffic on the Expo's backbone network. The LSMS was deployed in the Expo's network monitoring center to provide unified remote management of Brick1100 and 500 products. The Lucent VPN Firewall Brick product offers carrier-class reliability and security features, and the Lucent Security Management Server provides security management capabilities for all phases of network deployment, from VPN firewall installation to operation, management, and reporting.
