| TeraChip expands global management team TeraChip, a fabless semiconductor company providing high-performance switch fabrics, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointments of Bob Frostholm as vice president of worldwide sales and Derek Granath as vice president of marketing. Reporting to Rod Kay, president and CEO, Frostholm and Granath will build the international sales and marketing organizations for TeraChip's next-generation merchant switch fabrics for switch and router systems. "Bob and Derek both bring a wealth of technology sales and marketing experience to TeraChip, " said Kay. "With them on board, we're now poised to expand the international presence of our high-performance, cost-effective switch fabrics - to the benefit of networking vendors worldwide." Bob Frostholm brings over 30 years of semiconductor sales and marketing experience to TeraChip. Before joining TeraChip, he was vice president of sales and marketing at Mysticom where he established the company as the premier supplier of XAUI retimer devices for the 10Gb/s interconnect market. Previously, Frostholm was president and CEO of Power X Networks, Inc., a pioneer in the merchant semiconductor switch fabric market and the creator of the CSIX interface standard. He holds a BSEE from California State University, San Francisco. Derek Granath brings over 20 years of technology marketing experience and a strong network systems background to TeraChip. Before joining TeraChip, he was director of product marketing and management at Brocade Communications where he drove the product strategy and roadmap for Brocade's high-performance storage area network (SAN) platforms. Previously, he was at Cisco Systems and Stratacom (acquired by Cisco in 1996).
