Citect releases Ampla V2.2

Citect announces the release of Ampla V2.2. The latest version of Citect's MES offering, V2.2 includes improved production to business interoperability, new enterprise recipe management features and enhanced track and trace functionality.

Ampla V2.2 permits easy integration between Ampla and ERP systems using the internationally recognized B2MML standard. Bidirectional integration of production, maintenance, cost and other data can now be automatically executed within the B2MML standard.

"The adoption of B2MML to integrate manufacturing applications is very important, " commented Craig Resnick, Research Director, ARC Advisory Group. "ARC strongly advocates interoperability and the inclusion of B2MML, which is critical to manufacturers achieving real-time performance management. We're glad Citect added this feature to Ampla Version 2.2. ARC recommends manufacturers recognize B2MML as important criteria in product selection."

Ampla V2.2 also includes an enhanced out-of-the-box solution for recipe management, capable of handling thousands of products and product variations. Additionally, Ampla V2.2 enables greater regulatory conformance for batch tracking and tracing, by providing more tools for visualizing the linkages between lots of finished goods, intermediate products, and raw materials.

"Ampla V2.2 provides greater visibility into the production process, " explains John Cavalenes, Director of MES Solutions, Citect. "Process orders and associated recipes are visualized and executed from the Planner module, lot numbers are tracked through the process and actual production quantities are automatically reported to the ERP system."

"With Ampla V2.2, we continue our focus on next generation MES applications that are easy to configure and provide the lowest total cost of ownership, " said Richard Webb, CEO, Citect. "Ampla V2.2 delivers real-time intelligence to the enterprise to drive business decisions."
