Software Now connects webcams to remote servers

RemoteScan Corporation (http://www.Remote-Scan.com)has announced the release of RemoteClickCam, a software solution which allows digital cameras to be used with Windows Terminal Services. With RemoteClickCam it is now possible in Terminal Services or Citrix environments to use webcams that are attached to PCs or thin clients and take photos directly into any hosted application. RemoteClickCam is a virtual channel between software packages running on any Terminal Services or Citrix Server and the USB webcam or digital camera plugged into any client PC. RemoteClickCam can be used with any software application that requires taking photos for membership or ID cards, such as software used by athletic clubs, motor vehicle licensing offices, and human resource departments.

"RemoteClickCam has been released to solve the dilemma of using USB webcams or digital cameras with Terminal Services and Citrix. Used in combination with ID Card Printers and any membership or ID Card software, RemoteClickCam makes it possible for the complete ID card creation process to be located at a single point, " says Steve Saroff, President of RemoteScan Corporation. "Leveraging the built in security provided with Terminal Services and Citrix, ID Card kiosks can now easily be set up without having to install a VPN or make router and firewall modifications, " says Saroff.

RemoteClickCam is an included component of RemoteScan for Terminal Services, the company's well-known product which allows document and flatbed scanners to be used with Terminal Services or Citrix.
