| Imitation as a compositional device in contemporary music On Sunday, March 1st, 2026 at 7pm at Ki Smith Gallery, Composers Concordance presents Imitations, a concert event exploring the many ways musical ideas are echoed, transformed, distorted, and reimagined. The concert will be performed by the CompCord Ensemble with special guest performers. The program features contemporary fugues, canons, inventions, and other works rooted in imitative techniques.
