Ms. Jackson is a favorite among jazz aficionados and musicians alike; she sings with great feeling for jazz. Carrie has built her reputation over the last 30 years playing with such great artists as Howard "Duke" Anderson, Big Band, Jazz Lobsters Big Band, Full Count Band, James Dean Big Band, Norman Simmons, Houston Person, Lisle Atkinson, Radam Schwartz, Cecil Brooks III, Calvin Hughes, Stanley Jordan, Bill Goodwin, Lafayette Harris, Bradford Hayes, Radam Schwartz, Barry Harris, Winard Harper, Earl May, Dr. Yusef Ali, just to name a few. Carrie has built her reputation over the last 25 years playing with multi-talented artists.

Carrie, with her multifaceted singing style can harmonize & swings classic jazz standards with sweet soul, wail the blues, cabaret, pop tunes, ballads, or Gospel, all complimented by her engaging stage presence and graceful moves. She is a gifted lyricist, has great timing and truly sings from her heart and is comfortable performing with a Small Ensemble, Big band and Orchestra. Carrie has several albums released as a leader, THE NEARNESS OF YOU, IF I HAD MY WAY, A TRIBUTE TO SARAH VAUGHN, NEWARKS OWN, CARRIE JACKSON, JERSEY BOUNCE, Featured Vocalist, RADAM SCHWARTZ SAXOPHONE QUARTET MUSIC, and her latest album, CARRIE JACKSON JERSEY BOUNCE sounds supremely comfortable playing the tenor.

THIS VERSATILE performer has sung with many different groups and leads her own groups. She has been a guest vocalist for a variety of occasions including live radio and television as an international artist touring and playing events around the world touring abroad and in the USA in years before and since. Carrie is a vocal Stylist, in Jazz, Blues, Pop and Gospel, she rekindles thoughts of America's great music history and credits her mentors for her style of improvisation and song to the great ladies of jazz, Sarah "Sassy" Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Carmen McRae, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, and others as a primary musical influence for her vocal style, which indelibly helped shape vocal jazz for every generation … to these extraordinary ladies. Ms. Jackson also attributes her style of singing to great composers, Edward "Duke' Ellington, Mary Lou Williams Erroll Garner, Dr. Billy Taylor, Fats Waller, and songs from the Great American Songbook featuring George & Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter Lerner & Lowe, bringing new horizons to this classical American art form called Jazz.

The truth is that she has a bit of all of them and much more that is uniquely her own style and proudly carries the jazz banner. Carrie is a performer that honed her skills in her hometown, Newark, NJ the cultural jazz mecca of performing arts while performing throughout the USA, and abroad.
