| Bruno Elisabetsky - Alcance Alcance, 2025, is the 4th album released by Bruno Elisabetsky and the first recorded in the United States, in New Orleans, where he has lived since 2021 (born in São Paulo, Brazil). In these new and original compositions, Bruno sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar, accompanied by a stellar group of musicians formed by Julian Lee (saxophones and flute), Lex Warshawsky (acoustic bass and music production) and Pedro Segundo (percussion and drums). The compositions reveal the varied range of influences that characterize the artist's musical spectrum. His works display ideas marked by meticulous and high-intensity rhythms, melodies, and harmonies, while also offering themes marked by lyrical and emotional tones. Alcance evokes fragments that mark the author's recent life experiences, exuding urgency, lyricism, and nostalgia. It breathes the risk and beauty that lie in the simultaneously simple and complex experience of being alive in the effervescence of current times. Born in São Paulo (Brazil) and based in New Orleans (USA), the composer, guitarist (6 and 7 string guitar) and singer explores the dialogues between the Brazilian musical tradition in conjunction with jazz and classical music, as recorded in his three previous works as a composer: Passos Largos (2013) and Sinuosa (2016) with Quarteto Quadrantes and Xadrez, from 2019 and recorded on a guitar trio classic setting. Alcance is Bruno's first first work done overseas bringing a new flavor and texture to his newest compositions. write your comments about the article :: © 2025 Jazz News :: home page |
