RBH Jazz Camp, Vermont, July 21-27, 2025

RBH Jazz Camp, Vermont provides a unique immersive experience. Participants learn from world-renowned faculty, while also building relationships with them and each other, elements key to the Jazz art form. Participants are placed in bands, overseen by a star faculty band leader, with whom they practice throughout the week culminating in a final performance for the community before the week's end. Band leaders–who are both decorated performers and dedicated educators–also offer individual coaching and instruction, listening sessions and lectures, and nightly performances. This weeklong intensive is designed to promote rapid-paced skill development within an incredibly supportive community of people who love to learn, and most importantly, who deeply love music.

Daily Schedule

Instrumentalists:

9:00-10:00am: Jazz Ensemble

10:00-11:00: Latin jazz Ensemble

11:00am-12:00pm: Samba Jazz Ensemble

12-1: LUNCH

1:00-2:00pm: Bop Ensemble

2:15-3:45: Instrumental Masterclasses (piano, reeds, drums, bass and guitar)

3:45-5:30: Rest Hour/Opportunity to explore the beautiful campus grounds and town

5:30-7:00: DINNER

8:00pm: Faculty Concert (rotation of performances by the jazz masters)

9:00pm-12:00am: Jam Session (for all participants and faculty)

Vocalists:

9:00-9:30 – Vocal warmups

9:30 – 12 – Group work on Topics including: Form, phrasing, Improvisation, groves

12:00-1:00, Lunch

1:00-2:00pm: Some vocalists can join the instrumental ensembles, others can have the time off.

2:00-5:00pm: Rhythm Section workshop for all Vocalists. Work on tunes with a rhythm section and build arrangements for the performance.

5:30-7: Dinner
8pm: Faculty Concert (rotation of performances by the jazz masters)
9pm-12am: Jam Session (for all participants and faculty)
