| Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium 25th Anniversary Gala Tuesday, May 20 · 6 - 9pm EDT. Doors at 5:30pm Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium, Inc. (CBJC) will host a festive celebration with live music, food, and beverages. This Gala affair occurs on May 20, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the venue 275ParkBk, 275 Park Ave, Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Anniversary Gala tickets are only available through Eventbrite: CBJC25annivgala.eventbrite.com This milestone anniversary honors the founders of CBJC: Alma Carroll, Torrie McCartney, Viola Plummer, and longtime CBJC supporter, former NYS Assembly Member Annette Robinson. Jitu K. Weusi, cultural advocate and founder of The East, the borough's jazz shrine, will be inducted into the Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Fame. This festive affair includes live music featuring multi-Grammy-winning bassist Stanley Banks Band (Monte Croft-keys/vocals, Gene Ghee-sax, Marvin Horne-guitar, Bernard Davis-drums) with a buffet, beer, and wine.
