| CANADIAN JAZZ COLLECTIVE SEPTET MONDAY, JUL 1, 2024 @ Dizzy's Canadian Jazz Collective Septet - Special Canada Day Celebration Described by Jazzwise magazine as a "gloriously co-operative venture" that presents "sizzling live shows, " the JUNO-nominated Canadian Jazz Collective Septet is co-led by three Canadian jazz greats - Kirk MacDonald (saxophone), Lorne Lofsky (guitar), and Derrick Gardner, (trumpet). Recognized for the "gloriously democratic feel" of their work together, the CJC's intergenerational septet also features the rising star Virginia MacDonald on clarinet, as well as touring veterans pianist Brian Dickinson, bassist Neil Swainson, and Austrian drummer Bernd Reiter.
