| The Daniela Schächter Nonet: A Tribute to Wayne Shorter Sat, Apr 6, 2024 7:00pm The Fallout Shelter Norwood, MA Following the death of the great Wayne Shorter in March of 2023, there have been several tributes to honor the jazz legend. Berklee College of Music offered "The Faculty Fellowship Grant" to award winning pianist and vocalist Daniela Schächter. The task was to compose for a nonet, a nine piece orchestra, paying tribute to the music of Wayne Shorter. "The Fallout Shelter has been chosen to document this monumental project and we are brimming with pride and anticipation. This is "what we do"...we document for history and Wayne Shorter IS music history. It will take place on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 7pm. It features a 5 piece horn section, piano/voice, guitar, bass and drums. Nine master musicians playing arrangements composed by Daniela Schächter.
