| Ayman Fanous Appearing at Scholes Street Studio Fri & Sat March 22-23 Williamsburg Brooklyn Ayman Fanous Appearing at Scholes Street Studio Fri & Sat March 22-23 I will be returning for a weekend of performances at the beautiful and intimate Scholes Street Studio in Williamsburg, this coming Friday and Saturday nights, March 22-23. There won't be new meetings this time, but there will be new combinations of some of the titans of creative improvised music/free jazz. In particular, there will be a premier of a quartet with Ned Rothenberg, Mat Maneri, and Ben Stapp. As always, this will be unscripted, unrehearsed, freely improvised, and a leap into the sonic unknown. Would love to see you there. All the best, Ayman Friday March 22: 7pm: Fanous (guitars/bouzouki), Ned Rothenberg (alto sax, clarinet, bass clarinet, Japanese shakuhachi flute), Mat Maneri (viola) 8pm: Fanous, Rothenberg, Ben Stapp (tuba) 9pm: Fanous, Rothenberg, Maneri, Stapp Saturday March 23: 7pm and 8:30pm: Fanous, Jason Kao Hwang (acoustic and electric violin), James Ilgenfritz (acoustic and electric bass), Michael Wimberly (drums, percussion, djembe) write your comments about the article :: © 2024 Jazz News :: home page |
