The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet Performances at SXSW 2024

The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet will be presenting a SXSW showcase at The Elephant Room, 315 Congress Ave., Austin, TX, on March 16, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM and ending at 8:40 PM. The showcase will feature new compositions for an upcoming album release scheduled for later this year. "We are grateful that SXSW selected our group to perform at the conference this year. We welcome the opportunity" said co-leader Carl Michel. The Sextet has released 2 albums, "The Emissary" (2021) and "EMERGENCE" (2023) on the PlayOn Records label. The sextet features; Alex Coke (sax/flute), Carl Michel (guitar), Elaine Barber (concert harp), James Suter (acoustic bass), Bob Hoffnar (pedal steel), and Carolyn Trowbridge (vibes).

The Sextet will also be performing at Waterloo Records 2024 Day Parties, 600 N Lamar, Wednesday, March 13, from 3-3:30PM. This performance will be free. No badges, wristband or RSVP required
