Yang Zhang 2024 New Age Radio Notes Awards for Best New Age Electronic Music Album

Based on her success in the 2023 Global Music Awards, winning gold in 2 categories i.e. Best New Age & Best Composer, Yang Zhang's "The Touch of The Surging Tide" continues its glory by winning credits. She won 2 gold medals at the 2023 Little Talents Awards for Best Fusion & Best Composer. As the 1st season of 2024 unfolds, she furthers her appealing portfolio by adding a new nomination on its journey: the album "The Touch of The Surging Tide" got the nomination for the 2024 New Age Notes Radio Music Awards For Best New Age Electronic Album.

Distinct from the traditionally defined new age music, Yang Zhang's "The Touch of The Surging Tide" pioneered the futuristic touch with a cinematic story-telling structure to span over a wide range of categories from Independence Dance Music, diversified epic and suspended film scoring types, to ultra-modern Drum & Bass style featuring a sonic mixed layer interfering various vocal styles with electronic layer. Behind the journey of boundaryless fusion is the spirit of revolution that blurs and blends the music styles followed by intuition and all senses for instinctual music perception. The album merges the beauty of two cultures into one unique art form, where two extreme aesthetic tastes have been melted organically: it rejuvenates and redirects the evolution for future development.

"The Touch of The Surging Tide" is Yang Zhang's cross-section project wherein she has teamed up with acclaimed artists from South India who have collaborated with 2x Academy Award-winning composer, AR Rahman of famed "Slumdog Millionaire". The project was consulted and supervised by 2x Grammy winning composer Brent Fischer, and the featured flutist is Vijay Gopal, who is an A-grade artist of All India Radio, Chennai, and an impaneled artist on the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The Indian recording sessions were co-produced and engineered by 3x Grammy accredited musician, Devan Ekambaram. To get the authentic sound of the South Asian Bansuri renowned Bollywood engineer, Praveen Muralidhar was roped in to mix the flute tracks as well as master the album.
